I’m going to take a wild guess and say that a majority of the members in the Future of Real Estate (FoRE) Facebook Group clicked “join” because they know, deep down, the “future of real estate” involves social media marketing.
I’m also going to go ahead and assume that many FoRE members are not social media experts – but rather, hard-working real estate professionals who know they need to understand social media if they are going to stay relevant in the industry.
If you can relate to the above, you are NOT alone. If you’re a “social media hater,” you are NOT alone. If you’d rather stick to classifieds posting your face on a park bench…you’re (unfortunately) NOT alone. But at the end of the day, while you are avoiding “the dot com” (as my mother calls it), your potential clients are on social media getting “picked up” by real estate professionals who know how to market their personal brand.
It is for this reason, precisely, that I invited real estate marketing expert, Chelsea Peitz, to do a LIVE Facebook chat with me last week in the FoRE Facebook Group. To share not just the “why” behind social media for real estate professionals but the “HOW” so you can start seeing results.

Who is Chelsea Peitz & Why Should Real Estate Professionals Care?
Chelsea has been in the real estate industry for over 17 years as both a real estate agent and, now, marketing expert for agents. When Chelsea got her license in 2001, the internet was still in the “dial-up” era and a majority of Americans (including Chelsea) were not glued to their smartphones.
While healthy-radiant skin along with long luscious lashes may deceive you, Chelsea mentioned in our chat that she is in fact, NOT A MILLENNIAL (*gasp). So it might come as a surprise to some that Chelsea is recognized as the #1 Real Estate Snapchatter and a Camera-First Marketing Expert.
She’s also a keynote speaker, Inman contributor, social sales coach and published author of the book – Talking In Pictures.
That’s right folks, she is a non-millennial who knows more than most 90’s babies do about platforms like Snapchat and has dedicated her self-taught career to helping, specifically, real estate agents find the answers (lucky, us!)
This brings me to “why realtors should care”:
What Chelsea did not mention in our one-on-one LIVE chat was that she studied Psychology in college. Her attention to the human side of marketing is what makes her approach so effective for Realtors. Why? Because a realtor’s business depends on trust and connection with their audience and a psychological approach is just what the doctor ordered.
“It’s not marketing,” Chelsea says in a Facebook post of hers, “its psychology, its neuroscience. It’s connecting through a screen.” Like (the great) Gary Vaynerchuk, Chelsea is unveiling the secrets, tips, and tricks every real estate agent should be following if they want to stay relevant in the real estate game.
